Where's Your Walden? Tell us about it here!

Tell us about a place in nature that inspires you or a project you've done to care for a "Walden" in your part of the world. We'd love to feature some of the Waldens you share in our Showcase and on our Walden Woods Project Facebook page!

When posting about your special place, share a photo, poem, video, sketch or illustration, song - anything that helps describe your "Walden" in a creative or inspiring way!

"Where's Your Walden?" Showcase Terms of Use

The "Where's Your Walden?" Showcase feature is intended to allow students, educators and other people from around the world to share how places in nature have inspired them and tell us about projects or actions they have done to protect their special places. We periodically feature stories and materials people share on our websites in order to inspire others.

In this spirit, we ask you to abide by the following terms:

By sharing, you give The Walden Woods Project permission to share your story and materials on our websites: www.worldwidewaldens.org and www.walden.org. These websites are available to the general public and do not require login. We may also feature or promote stories submitted on our Walden Woods Project Facebook page

Walden Woods Project staff will review submissions and periodically select stories to feature. We hope to feature as many submissions as possible but may not be able to feature every story shared.

Any materials (any file shared) must be your own, in the public domain, or clearly identified as open content. You will not share files that violate intellectual property, privacy or other laws to which you are bound or that contain defamatory, threatening or otherwise objectionable material.

Further, you agree to respect the privacy of others and will never share a picture, video, or other file that includes other people who do not wish to appear on a public website.

If you submit an original work of art - a poem, sketch or illustration, etc. you created - we will clearly attribute it to you and include information about any copyright protections you establish, e.g., a Creative Commons license.

Please contact us if you have any questions about "Where's Your Walden?" submissions.

We look forward to seeing your Walden.
